The ankle is a synovial joint that connects the tibia (leg) to the talus. It is stabilised by ligaments, muscles and tendons. Normal motion and stability of the ankle are important for work and recreational activity.

Our feet are composed of multiple bones, joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments. Disorders of the foot can cause difficulty in weight bearing, walking, working and normal shoe wear.
